LL.B. 3 Years Admission Eligibility Criteria

1. A candidate will be eligible for admission to the LL.B. course if they have obtained a bachelor’s degree recognized by any university with the 10+2+3 system and have secured at least 45% marks for General category, 42% marks for OBC, and 40% marks for SC/ST candidates at the graduation level.

2. As per the ordinance for admission to the LL.B. (Three Years) course from the session 2002-03 onwards, issued by the University of Lucknow, 80% of the sanctioned seats shall be filled by candidates who have completed their graduation from Lucknow University. The remaining 20% of seats are available for graduates of other universities. Any seat that remains vacant shall be filled with graduates of Lucknow University in order of merit.

3. If two or more candidates have the same marks in graduation, then the percentage of marks obtained in the intermediate examination will be considered to determine merit for admission.

4. If two or more candidates have the same marks in High School or equivalent examination, then the candidate who is senior in age will get preference in the merit list.

5. The gap period between the year of passing the qualifying examination and the year of application for LL.B. admission shall be considered, and 0.02% marks shall be deducted for each gap year from the qualifying degree percentage.

6. If a candidate has completed a Post-Graduate Examination immediately after their qualifying examination, then the two-year postgraduate period will not be treated as a gap.

7. As per the Bar Council of India (Part V), Section B (3), students must maintain a minimum attendance of 66% in all subjects.
